How to steal in Steal the Bobo means two different skills: winning the contested buy on the walking path, and breaking into another player’s unlocked base to take placed Bobos. Both feed the same economy. Neither replaces locking your own plot when you leave.

Path sniping fundamentals

Bobos walk a shared lane with prices tied to rarity and demand. Successful snipes start before the Bobo reaches a rival’s comfortable buy range. Stand where you can see spawns early, keep cash liquid, and commit the moment the buy prompt is valid.

Common mistakes include tunnel-visioning a single rare while three mid-tiers walk free, and draining every coin so the next spawn is untouchable. Keep a reserve sized to the next tier you actually want. Use Best Bobos and Values so you know which contests are worth fighting.

Reading rival behavior

Watch who camps the lane versus who AFKs in their plot. Campers will beat you on contested rares unless you arrive earlier or they are broke. AFK plot owners are raid targets if unlocked — never assume a quiet base is empty of value.

Base raid playbook

1. Scout from a distance: count visible high-tier Bobos and check whether the lock is active.
2. Plan the exit back to your plot before you touch anything.
3. Grab the highest value safe target, not every filler.
4. Return home and place immediately so income starts and the steal cannot be yoinked mid-carry if the game allows drops.
5. Lock your base after the deposit.

Raiding an empty or low-value unlocked base wastes time you could spend sniping the path. Raiding a loaded unlocked base can jump your cash curve by an entire upgrade tier — if you survive the trip.

Risk management

Stealing versus trading

Steal the Bobo rewards decisive buyers and patient raiders. Hesitation on the path loses spawns; haste in a locked base wastes time. Combine both tempos and your plot fills with earners instead of stories about the one that got away.

Spawn cadence reading

Observe thirty seconds of lane behavior before spending. Cluster servers drip bait commons then spike a rare — save coins for the spike. Drought servers deserve every affordable B-tier because gaps stretch long. Raise the camera to read tags earlier than rivals standing flat on the path.

Raid routing craft

Approach from angles that keep your home vector visible. Take one high-value Bobo, not a greedy armful. Abort if the owner returns unless an S-tier is already secured. Track snipes won, contests lost, raids attempted, raids succeeded, and forgotten locks. Drive forgotten locks to zero; that metric alone separates rich plots from tragic stories.
